Rockwell Collins received a major delivery order award from the U.S. Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base under the
Training System Acquisition I contract to design and produce the F-16C Modular Simulated Aircraft Maintenance Trainer (MSAMT).
Under this program, Rockwell Collins will provide the "next generation" maintenance training device to accomplish F-16C Block
40/50 maintenance training objectives. Rockwell Collins will employ state-of-the-art maintenance training technologies to
support the Pneumatic/Hydraulic System (PHS), Electrical Power System (EPS), Environmental Control System (ECS), and Propulsion
System Trainer (PST) including the Engine Start System (ESS) using an immersive and interactive virtual image based solution.
The COTS dominant MSAMT design supports classroom based theoretical and cognitive skills training for novice and advanced
F-16 maintenance personnel. The fully deployable system addresses all configuration variations of the F-16 Block 40 and 50
aircraft.
