About Rosetta Technology

Rockwell Collins continues to build on our proven family of Net-Enabled Solutions with Rosetta Technology, a key component of our OpenEdge software framework. Rosetta Technology simplifies the complex business of sensor and data link management on the battlefield, thereby enhancing the situational awareness required for successful tactical operations. Built using an open systems approach, Rosetta provides a complete suite of applications and tools that can be tailored to sensor and data management needs.

Rosetta Technology provides a modular, open architecture series of interfaces between sensor and data link hardware and host clients. It incorporates an array of network enterprise services in real-time and near real-time to provide information exchange across a wide range of existing and emerging networks, radars, sensors and software applications.  Existing Rosetta interfaces include Link 16, Link 11, Variable Message Format (VMF), Situational Awareness Data Link (SADL), Enhanced Positional Location Reporting System (EPLRS), Army Tactical Internet, AN/SPY-1 and AN/TPS-75 radar systems, fighter data links and Internet backbones.

Designed as a Net-Centric Enterprise Service (NCES), Rockwell Collins' Rosetta Technology supports a broad array of service requirements:

  • Data Normalization

  • Distribution of Data in XML (and other industry standard formats)

  • Real-time Forwarding

  • Gateway Functionality
