Rockwell Collins' fully integrated Airshow® 4200 system gives your passengers the power of engagement, making flight time more enjoyable. With real-time flight information,
moving maps, and up-to-the-minute news, weather and financials — all displayed in a rich multimedia format — passengers are
kept informed and connected en route to their next destination. It's an element to their flight that they're sure to remember
the next time they fly.
The Airshow 4200 system engages passengers with graphics and motion that rival a high-end flight simulator. Always working
to enhance the passenger experience, the Airshow 4200 delivers new moving map content including, World Clocks, Flight Instrument
Panels, Atlas Maps, as well as a graphical user interface refresh. Quite simply, the Airshow 4200 is a true experience in
multimedia with a variety of features that keep passengers entertained, informed or both from takeoff to touchdown.
Engaging, advanced features and functionality are at the heart of Airshow 4200. It is a full-featured multimedia platform,
incorporating a wide variety of capabilities, including 3-D route maps, real-time news feeds, connecting gate information,
and point-of-interest media libraries. For the first time, Airshow 4200 can be used for full-motion MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video
displays, such as safety briefings, short subjects, advertising, duty-free, and other non-encrypted content. The Airshow 4200
outputs two channels of NTSC video in a distributed mode to overhead or in-seat monitors. This allows the distribution of
map and flight information on one channel and connecting gate information, news feeds and similar content on the second channel.
The Airshow 4200 captures real-time flight information from the aircraft's flight management computer, long-range navigation
system and aircraft communication systems. Usage of the on-board ACARS connection enables retrieval of current airport terminal
and connecting gate information. For Airshow Network news feeds (including WSJTM, CNNTM, BBCTM, Bloomberg™ and others) the
Airshow 4200 connects to the aircraft's NATS, Satcom, or Iridium communications systems.
The Airshow 4200 seamlessly integrates with the leading IFE systems to provide content that is highly customizable and tailored
to meet the needs of each airline customer.
The Rockwell Collins Airshow® Configuration Editor (ACE) 4200 provides airlines with an affordable, turnkey solution to changing
content on existing Airshow 4200 and 4200D systems. The ACE tool provides users with expanded flexibility to edit advertising,
onboard promotions and passenger briefings. In addition, ACE 4200 enables airlines to make ongoing changes to the presentation
script, accommodating updates to the fleet or route structure.
