MultiScan TM provides optimum weather information from the nose of the aircraft to 320 n.m. ahead. MultiScan uses advanced digital technologies
to emulate an ideal radar beam by storing multiple radar scans in computer memory, merging the appropriate information from
the different scans into a total weather picture, and then applying Rockwell Collins' patented ground clutter suppression
algorithms to eliminate ground clutter. This results in the ability for flight crews to view all significant weather from
0 - 320 n.m. on a single, essentially clutter-free, display.
