MultiScan™ algorithms provide a method for estimating the top of a weather system. Current displays simply tell the flight crew whether the cell is above or below the aircraft. Future displays can be used in a variety of ways to display this information, allowing flight crews to determine the best possible weather avoidance maneuver by giving them all the critical information required to determine the best route of flight.
