Rated first among 100 largest government contractors.
Ethisphere Institute recently rated the Rockwell Collins ethics program first out of the 100 largest government contractors
and second against the top 1,000 government contractors as part of its "Government Contractor 2008 Ethics Rankings."
The institute evaluated ethics programs across the government contracting community (regardless of their size) based on four
broad-based categories: Code of Ethics and Business Conduct; Leadership and Tone at the Top; Internal Control Systems; and
Ethics Training and Communication Programs.
Ethisphere Institute conducted research on more than 1,000 companies that do business with the U.S. government. The institute
asked companies to submit supplemental materials about their ethics programs, analyzed their codes of conduct and risk mitigation
efforts, examined company track records and judged the results against 50 separate criteria developed and weighted by a leading
panel of contracting experts and government officials. Companies that did not submit material were ranked based on publicly
available information.
In addition to the overall rankings, our Training and Communication Program was ranked third and our Code of Conduct and Internal
Control Systems were both ranked ninth.
The institute has published the study in its quarterly publication and on its Web site. For more information about the rankings,
awards and methodologies, visit the Ethisphere Institute Web site at http://ethisphere.com/government-contractor-ethics-rankings/.
