Ranked 24th in BusinessWeek's annual survey

BusinessWeek magazine recently ranked Rockwell Collins number 24 on its list of Top 50 performers. The No. 1 spot went to Coach, while Gilead Sciences ranked second, and Allegheny Technologies received the No. 3 spot.

Every year, the magazine studies data and chooses 50 of the top performers from the S&P 500. These companies represent the superstar performers in each of the 10 sectors that make up the S&P 500.

A variety of factors, including sales growth and return on invested capital over the previous 36 months, were considered during the decision process. Additionally, the magazine's board of editors considered non-financial factors in making the final decision.
