Rockwell Collins Unveils Enhanced SATCOM Solutions

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (June 06, 2007) - Rockwell Collins today announced that is has enhanced its highly successful SAT-906 and SAT-2100/6100 systems to be fully compliant with the latest SwiftBroadband specifications.

The new SAT-906B and SAT-2100B/6100B feature increased functionality and reliability. Existing SAT-906 and SAT-2100/6100 systems can be upgraded to SwiftBroadband capabilities via service bulletin.

"We continue to invest significant time and resources to ensure that our customers receive a complete SwiftBroadband solution that addresses Inmarsat intermodulation issues and provides a seamless transition of traditional Inmarsat capabilities such as safety services voice/data and Swift64," said Jeff Standerski, vice president and general manager, Air Transport Systems for Rockwell Collins. "As a leader in this new technology, Rockwell Collins will provide a robust, intermodulation-free solution and a level of service that our customers have come to expect."

In order to provide customers with a turnkey SATCOM solution, Rockwell Collins is also offering its own line of ARINC 781 high- and intermediate-gain antennas designed specifically to meet SwiftBroadband specifications. The advanced antennas are the result of strategic relationships with Chelton Inc. and EMS SATCOM. The antennas, SwiftBroadband equipment and service bulletins will be available beginning in the second quarter of 2008.
