Emirates selects new Rockwell Collins Airshow 4200D

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (September 12, 2006) - Emirates Airline has selected the new Rockwell Collins Airshow 4200D for its Airbus A380 aircraft.

The Airshow 4200D is the most recent addition to the Rockwell Collins Airshow Moving Map family, incorporating a new digital video interface, designed specifically to take advantage of the latest generation of in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems. The new interface provides a true, all-digital display, omitting the limitations common with analog video signals and real-time analog-to-digital encoders.

In addition to the new digital video output, Airshow 4200D now offers the choice to display in a native widescreen format. Passengers enjoy a truly widescreen experience of their flight's progress, along with all the popular Airshow 4200 features.
