Boeing executive Alan Mulally to visit Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids, Iowa (September 24, 2004) - Who: Alan Mulally, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, will make remarks on the importance of commercial aviation on the local and national economy. Rockwell Collins Chairman, President and CEO Clay Jones and  Governor Tom Vilsack will also make remarks.

What: Remarks will be made during a reception to raise awareness of the importance of America’s aerospace industry and the strong bond between Boeing and Rockwell Collins. 

Why:  Boeing and Rockwell Collins have created highly skilled, high-paying jobs in local communities, across the United States and throughout the world. Boeing is currently working with Rockwell Collins and other suppliers on the new 7E7 Dreamliner, which is on the cutting edge of technology and is revolutionizing air travel.
