Kaiser Electroprecision Awarded BAE SYSTEMS Controls Contract

IRVINE, Calif. (August 29, 2002) - Kaiser Electroprecision, a Rockwell Collins business, has been awarded the engineering module development (EMD) contract for the BAE SYSTEMS Controls A/OA-10 Precision Engagement upgrade.

The EMD contract, valued at over $600,000, consists of four Line Replaceable Units (LRUs): Right Throttle Grip, Control Stick Grip, Armament/HUD Control Box and 1760 Relax Box. The production phase is scheduled to begin in 2005 and will run for four years. It includes 385 ship sets and is valued at approximately $6.2 million.

The A-10 aircraft, commonly known as "The Thunderbolt," demonstrated its capabilities in seeking and destroying enemy tanks during the Desert Storm Operation.
