Rockwell Collins Aviation Services Obtains CAA In-flight Entertainment Maintenance Certification for JAA Registered Aircraft

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (October 09, 2002) - Rockwell Collins Aviation Services (CAS) has received Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certification to perform on-board in-flight entertainment (IFE) maintenance on Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) registered aircraft. This authorization expands Rockwell Collins' service offerings in Europe.

The JAR-145 Limited A1 certification authorizes Collins Aviation Services to service IFE systems and to complete the aircraft Certificate of Release to Service. JAR-145 Limited A1 will allow Rockwell-Collins (U.K.) Ltd. to service JAA registered aircraft at CAS service bases located at London Heathrow and London Gatwick. CAA applications for Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly are currently under consideration. Rockwell Collins is one of two avionics manufacturers to hold JAR-145A1 authorization.

Collins Aviation Services has a global network of more than 60 locations that provide repair and overhaul of avionics equipment and IFE equipment. Additional capabilities include repair, on-board services, service parts, training and technical information services.
