Rockwell Collins avionics selected by Xiamen Airlines
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (June 12, 2006) - Xiamen Airlines selected a full suite of Rockwell Collins' avionics for 15 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The agreement also
calls for an option on five additional aircraft with deliveries scheduled to begin in July 2006.
"This significant win continues to grow our relationship with Xiamen," said Kelly Ortberg, vice president and general manager,
Air Transport Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Our proven technology and reliable products, as well as our track record for
excellent customer service played a key role in Xiamen's decision to purchase our avionics."
Rockwell Collins' WXR-2100 MultiScan Weather Radar is included in the avionics package. The WXR-2100 MultiScan Weather Radar
is fully automatic radar that reduces pilot workload and enhances safety and passenger comfort by reducing unexpected turbulence
encounters. MultiScan provides optimal weather detection from the nose of the aircraft to 320 nautical miles.
