Rockwell Collins Flight Management System Selected for Gulfstream 200® Aircraft

NEW ORLEANS (December 12, 2001) - Rockwell Collins FMS-6100 Flight Management System has been selected for the Gulfstream 200® super mid-size business aircraft. Gulfstream is offering the advanced FMS as part of its Premium Package for the aircraft, formerly the Galaxy. The Gulfstream 200 is equipped with Collins Pro Line 4 avionics.

Highlights of the Collins FMS-6100 include multiple waypoint vertical navigation, Vspeeds, time en route and fuel consumption calculations. These advanced capabilities reduce pilot workload and enhance aircraft operations.

The advanced FMS automatically calculates the V-speeds for takeoff, departure and approach and automatically transfers the information to the primary flight display for easy reference on the airspeed tape.

Enhanced thrust management reduces pilot workload during the initial phase of takeoff. Thrust computations are performed within the FMS and the thrust value N1 is automatically incorporated into the Engine Indication information displayed on the aircraft's multifunction display.
