International
NEW ORLEANS (December 13, 2001) - Rockwell Collins Aviation Services (CAS), along with FlightSafety International (FSI), and Cessna Aircraft Company, has developed
a training program for operators of Cessna CJ1 aircraft. The Prerequisite Interactive Coursework (PICwareSM) will be offered
through FlightSafety as part of their comprehensive training program.
By preparing students in advance for the FSI type-rating program, PICware training enhances the quality of learning in the
FSI classroom. Two interactive CD-ROM programs, including a digital overview and an interactive courseware tool provide basic
concepts and equipment information for operators prior to entering formal type-rating training classes. This preparatory coursework
allows students to begin their FlightSafety programs with a validated level of knowledge.
The PICware coursework is a level-2 Computer-Based Training (CBT) product with content segmented into modules based on learning
objectives. Each Digital Overview module includes a knowledge assessment. It is a self-discovery tool is segmented into four
modules including operation, theory, description, and procedures. Designed for information access and reference, PICware can
also be used post-classroom to provide refresher training.
