Rockwell Collins Names Ken A. Peterman Vice President of Business Development

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (August 06, 2002) - Rockwell Collins (NYSE:COL), a global leader in aviation electronics and communications, has appointed Ken A. Peterman vice president of business development for Government Systems.

In his new role, Peterman will be responsible for worldwide sales and marketing activities for Rockwell Collins Government Systems which provides defense electronics products and systems for airborne, ground and shipboard applications. Customers include the U.S. Department of Defense, foreign militaries, government agencies and manufacturers of military aircraft.

Peterman most recently held the position of director of Communication Systems Marketing for Government Systems. Previously, he was director of business development at Raytheon Tactical Systems. He joined Rockwell Collins in 2000 with over 22 years of defense industry experience in strategic planning, marketing, program management, engineering, and research and development. Peterman holds a BSEE with high honors from Tri-State University and has completed executive development programs at Pennsylvania State University and Stanford University.
