Ronald R. Hornish

Ronald (Ron) R. Hornish is vice president and general manager of Precision Strike Solutions, Government Systems for Rockwell Collins. Hornish has full responsibility for profit and loss, customer relationship management, program execution, and new business pursuits for Precision Strike Solutions life cycle value stream. He was named to the position in December 2007.

Previously, Hornish served as vice president and general manager of Sensor Systems for Government Systems, a position he was appointed to in February 2004. Hornish joined the company in 1979 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President and general manager of Integrated Applications & Navigation Systems, and vice president of Engineering for Government Systems.

A native of Defiance, Ohio, Hornish earned a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tri-State University, Angola, Indiana. He has completed work toward a Master of Business Administration degree at Seattle University and the University of Iowa.

Hornish is a member of the American Helicopter Society (AHS), Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Navy League of the United States (NLUS), Army Aviation Association of American (AAAA), Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the Institute of Navigation (ION).

He is also a director for the boards of Vision Systems International, Integrated Guidance Systems, LLC, Boy Scouts of America and a trustee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cedar Rapids.
